Terms of service

SECTION 1 – RENTAL EQUIPMENT & RESPONSIBILITY

  1. Gear Care & Protection: Renters assume full responsibility for all rented equipment (skis, snowboards, boots, helmets, poles, and accessories) from the time of delivery until final pickup.

  2. Loss, Theft, & Damage: Equipment returned damaged beyond normal wear and tear, or not returned due to loss or theft, will be charged to the card on file at standard repair or full retail replacement value—unless optional equipment insurance was purchased at the time of booking. (Note: Insurance covers accidental gear damage; stolen or lost equipment requires a police report or may incur a deductible according to your selected coverage plan).

  3. Accurate Sizing & Binding Data: Customers must provide accurate height, weight, shoe size, age, and skier/rider type prior to fitting. This information is critical for proper DIN binding settings and equipment setup. Providing inaccurate information increases the risk of injury.

  4. Delivery & Pickup Access: Customers must ensure accessible, timely pickup and drop-off access at their specified accommodation or lodging address.

SECTION 2 – LESSONS & INSTRUCTION

  1. Instructor Authority: Our instructors reserve the right to alter or cancel a lesson if weather, snow conditions, or participant physical condition poses a safety risk.

  2. Lift Tickets & Terrain: Unless explicitly stated, lift tickets and resort mountain passes are not included in instructional fees and must be purchased independently by the customer prior to the lesson.

SECTION 3 – ASSUMPTION OF RISK & LIABILITY WAIVER

  1. Inherent Risks: You acknowledge that skiing, snowboarding, and related winter sports carry inherent risks, including serious physical injury, disability, or death.

  2. Voluntary Participation: By using our rental equipment or participating in our instructional lessons, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with winter sports activities.

  3. Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Utah law, Ride Utah, its owners, employees, and independent contractors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential injuries, damages, or losses resulting from gear usage or instructional participation.

SECTION 4 – BOOKINGS, PAYMENTS, & CANCELLATIONS

  1. Payment: Full payment or deposit is required at the time of booking to secure equipment availability and instructor scheduling.

  2. Cancellations: All cancellations and refunds are strictly governed by our [Return and Refund Policy]. Bookings canceled less than 48 hours in advance forfeit the deposit.

  3. Weather & Resort Closures: If a resort fully closes due to severe weather, safety hazards, or power outages, we will work with you to reschedule or issue a store credit/refund.

SECTION 5 – MODIFICATIONS TO SERVICE & PRICING

  1. Prices and package offerings for rental gear and lessons are subject to change without notice prior to booking confirmation.

  2. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of our services at any time.

SECTION 6 – GOVERNING LAW

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah.
